Hey! I’m Becky. I’m a graphic designer for New South Media in Morgantown, WV. I’m a graduate of the WVU School of Art and Design. I have a BFA in Graphic Design and a BS in Journalism with a concentration in Advertising (two degrees!). I also have a minor in English and a minor in Art History. Why so much school? Well, I’m interested in so many things! I’m a bit of a “Jane of all Trades”.
I play the guitar, but not as well as I play the drums. I need to listen to music everyday to function properly, much like some people need coffee. I don’t like coffee. I had early aspirations of being a standup comic, but at age 5, I realized I was shy. Later dreams of becoming Batgirl were also met with disappointment.
If I was a Jedi, my lightsaber would be blue. I call them sneakers, NOT tennis shoes. The best t-shirts have Keith Haring designs on them. My favorite Seinfeld episode is the one where they go to the wedding in India and the timeline is non-linear.
I’m interested in all aspects of Graphic Design and visual communication and am constantly on the lookout for new things to learn.
